Welcome to Saugatuck Nursery School! We operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Located in Fairfield County Connecticut – our Westport CT Preschool has been part of the fabric of this community for over 40 years.

Programs for 2 Year Old, 3 Year Old,
and 4 Year Old Children
No matter what age your preschooler is – we have a program that is just right for him or her.
And our flexible scheduling options makes it just right for mom and dad, too.
Our Program
Our students thrive in the warm and caring environment that our school provides.
Every day the children receive individualized attention in a small group environment. Our teacher to student ratios are well below the required norm – so all of our teachers get to know the entire student body.
We are truly a community – where both students and teachers experience a full school connection.
The Curriculum
The Curriculum at Saugatuck Nursery School is based on the CT Preschool Curriculum Framework Model and is lovingly taught by our experienced and nurturing professionals.
Positive reinforcement and age appropriate play based activities form the foundation of the children’s learning experience.
Enrichment Activities and Field Trips
Included in our curriculum is a wide range of fabulous enrichment classes and field trips.
Yoga, music, and Zumbatonics are just a few of the activities that our students enjoy on a regular basis.
Our students also participate in both in-house and off campus field trips which help them to develop a connection with the larger community. These field trips also give the children the opportunity to take that first ride on a big, yellow, school bus! Parents are welcome to join us as chaperones, too.
Family Participation
Parents have many opportunities to participate in their child’s school experience and encouraged to do so.
Throughout the school year parents get involved with Saugatuck Nursery School by way of family gatherings, fundraisers, chaperoning field trips, and spending time in the classroom.
Our Location
Our non-denominational Westport preschool is housed in a light and airy space at the First Church, 55 Compo Road South, Westport CT, 06880.

3 and 4 Year Old Program Options
Classes for our 3 year olds and 4 four year olds meet 2 times per week, 3 times per week, or 5 times per week and run from 9 a.m to 12 p.m.
We offer an extended day option for children that would like to stay and attend “Lunch Bunch”. During this time they eat lunch with their friends and take advantage of some extra outdoor playtime.
And for children in this age group that would like to stay all day – we have full day programs as well.

2 Year Old Program Options
Our 2 year olds meet twice or three times a week on Tuesday/Thursday from 9 a.m. 11 a.m. or Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
